Our family holiday ended on a Friday. We spent the morning packing the car to the brim, bringing home everything from bags of sugar to my brand new comic books. Despite the fact that we bought next to nothing, our stuff seemed to have exploded and created a tonne of new stuff. We were struggling to pack a car that had been perfectly packed only a week before.
When the car was finally packed, we left our caravan park. The car was so heavy it felt more like it was just rolling around on it's own rather than being driven. That, by the way, isn't the best sensation in the world.
We spent our morning/afternoon in Canterbury. We went on a boat ride, did a bit of shopping and had a fantastic meal in what was fast becoming our new favourite place to eat (shame it's a 5 hour drive away). We made sure to stay in Canterbury until at least half past 3... We had a surprise planned!
On the way home from Canterbury, we stopped at my Uncle Brian's for a few hours. Since he lives near London, we don't get to see him very often. As a surprise for Mum (it's her brother and surprisingly, this whole thing was thought of and planned by Dad) we stopped by so we could see him, Aunty Della and Georgie. Mum had no idea what was happening until we were actually turning in to Uncle Brian's road. She even pointed our where he lived while we were on our way! Her ignorance was the source of all of our jokes on the way home of course. It was such a fun way to end the holiday! (Visiting the family, not mocking Mum - ha!)
And so, to end these posts about our trip, I'll leave you with some of my favourite photos from the week. Enjoy!
